Gérard Mugneret Savigny-les-Beaune Les Gravains 1er Cru 2021

This plot is oriented north-south with soil that is quite deep but aerated thanks to a significant amount of stone. The soil heats up relatively quickly. This plot was originally planted in 1902 and was never fully pulled out. Some reconfigurations (as in 1994, when it was acquired by the domaine) combined with regular replanting, make the plot home to a very interesting variety of vines.

The wine has a deep cherry red color and a delicate, slightly smoky aroma of wild blackcurrants, cherries and black pepper. The taste is fruity and intense with an elegant touch of pepper, as well as soft tannins, followed by a pleasant long aftertaste.
