  • Larb
  • Pavlova with fresh fruit
This is a dry, mineral Riesling from the Rheingau with high acidity, fine fruit and a slight off-dry sensation that makes it wonderfully versatile at the table. The clear acidity and minerality cut beautifully through rich, salty fish and shellfish dishes while also holding their own against spicy Asian fare, where the fruit bridges to chili and herbs. Choose dishes with moderate body and fresh, crisp flavors, so the wine's lively acidity and delicate fruit get to play along without being drowned out. Served chilled in large glasses, it's an obvious partner for shellfish, spicy herb dishes and a good charcuterie board alike.

About the wine

Künstler is one of the absolute best producers in the Rheingau, and their Riesling is really in demand and incredibly delicious! James Suckling has given this vintage 97 points and expects it to be stored for over 30 years.

Hochheimer Hölle is located in the Rheingau. 'Hölle' comes from the old German word Halde, meaning 'hill'. The clayey marl soil with its fine particles ensures that the vines get plenty of water to thrive optimally. The wines from this area boast a really fine minerality and acidity that harmonizes beautifully with plenty of fruitiness.

Grosse Lage or Grosses Gewächs is the highest level of German red and white wines.

Hochheimer Hölle Riesling Trocken GG 2016 is best enjoyed in large glasses, cooled to approximately 10 degrees.

Ripe yellow peach, pineapple, honey, and hay on the nose. Gentrle, integrated on the palate with fresh, juicy acidity.
