Single-field wine from the Parafada field in Serralunga, which is 330 meters above sea level. The vines are approx. 50 years old.
Parafada was produced for the first time in 1990. It is an intense and complex wine with a nice deep garnet red color with light shades. It perfectly reflects the great complexity of the soil around Serralunga d'Alba.
The wine is aged for 30 months in large oak casks followed by at least 12 months in the bottle.
The perfect Barolo to store for a long time.

Wine Advocate
The 2012 Barolo Parafada carries broad shoulders and a heavier gait. This wine leaves a lasting footprint, thanks to its aromas of dark fruit, pressed cherry, smoke, tobacco and toasted spice. The wine stands out for its textural richness and its important structure that keeps everything else locked down in place.
