Mastrojanni Botry's Moscadello di Montalcino 2010

Botry's Moscadello Di Montalcino is Mastrojanni's passito. It is made from a blend of Moscato, Malvasia di Candia and Sauvignon. The passito matures for 24 months in barriques, followed by 12 months in the bottle in the house's cellar.

In the glass, Botrys appears with a nice deep and clear golden colour. The nose has notes of light nutmeg and apricot jam with a sweet honey finish. You taste fruit syrup and candied fruits from peaches to apricots to figs. Botrys goes well with pâté, cakes and fresh cheeses.

This is a very small production of just under 2,000 bottles.
