Bakkanali ROSSO IGT Toscana Rosso

Sangiovese from 14-year-old vines.

From Poggioferro on the northwest slope of the old volcano Monte Amiata at 550-600 meters altitude.

The soil is marl - very calcareous clay, enriched by limestone and minerals from the volcano. 3.9 HA.

Cuvée (blend) of 2019 & 2020.

Spontaneous fermentation. Foot pressing, 20% whole bunches of grapes.

Made in oak barrels, cement and stainless steel. Aging on cement.

Juicy, fresh and elegant, with lots of red berries. Mineral with silky tannins.
