This dry, mineral white wine from Ribeira Sacra has high, fresh acidity without malolactic fermentation and a salty, citrus-driven core with a hint of smoke. The acidity cuts elegantly through richness and oil, while the salty style plays up against shellfish and fish with a taste of the sea. The light to medium body and the herbal, stony notes make it a fine companion to grilled fish, squid and poultry with fresh herbs. Avoid powerful, heavy sauces that drown out the wine's refined expression, and lean instead toward dishes with citrus, herbs and a pinch of salt.

About the wine

Rich and complex white wine with excellent minerality and elegance.

98% Treixadura and 2% Albariño. Treixadura is one of the traditional and ancient grape varieties in the region. The vines are planted at up to 700 meters altitude.

The aroma is of citrus, green apples, white flowers, and light smoky, stony notes. With a bit of air, it opens up with nuances of pear and herbs.

The taste is dry, focused, and salty with excellent acidity and a long finish.

Lalume is a modern interpretation of Ribeiro – fresh, gastronomic, and cellar-worthy.

Due to the extreme conditions in the vineyards, the harvest is done by hand, with small 10 kg boxes, per zone, altitude, and soil type. Once in the cellar, they are again thoroughly selected and vinified separately. Fermentation and aging take place in neutral barrels and concrete eggs, as well as stainless steel tanks.

No malolactic fermentation, which gives the wine excellent fresh acidity.

A fantastic wine that can keep for many years.

The Wine Advocate
harmonious, clean and expressive, with notes of pollen, yellow flowers and herbs. It has a round and soft palate that reflect a warm and dry year and comes through as more Mediterranean.
