Castello Tricerchi Brunello di Montalcino A.D. 1441 DOCG 2019 1,5L
This Brunello di Montalcino is the latest addition to the high-quality wines from Castello Tricerchi. The castle was founded in the year 1441. This Magnum bottle is presented in an elegant wooden case.
Tommaso has outdone himself with this rich and elegant Brunello. It offers aromatic notes of black cherries and strawberries with a hint of tobacco and chocolate, similar to the 'regular' Brunello, but this 'riserva' is more elegant and well-balanced in its expression. The taste is smooth and lingers on the palate.
The vineyards, Vigna del Castello and Vigna del Veloder, consist of a mix of clay and sand, located at an elevation of 290 meters with a west/northwest exposure.
The vineyards are approximately 30 years old.
The harvest took place in early October by hand, and vinification occurs in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 23 degrees over 30 days.
The malolactic fermentation continues for five months, after which the wine ages in large Slavonian oak barrels of 15-20 hectoliters for 36 months. Afterward, the wines age for at least 8 months in the bottle before release.
Only 2,700 bottles were produced of this vintage.
