Italian wine makes up a large part of our selection, from Sangiovese in Tuscany to Nebbiolo in Piemonte and white wines from Friuli-Venezia Giulia among others. Here you can choose between red wine, white wine and sparkling wine from several Italian regions. Start with the style you fancy, and use the grape and the origin to narrow your choice.

For Italian red wine, Tuscany is a natural starting point in our range. Among other things you can explore Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti Classico and wines under Toscana IGT. Sangiovese plays a central role, but the region offers several grape varieties and blends. Look at the specific wine if you want to know how grape composition and maturation shape the taste.

In Piemonte you will find other expressions, among them Barolo and Barbaresco made from Nebbiolo. The region offers the chance to compare wines of different origin and structure. If you want to go straight to one of the classic appellations, you can explore our Barbaresco. We also carry Italian wines from Valle d'Aosta, Sicily, Campania, Umbria and Lombardy among others.

Italian white wine and sparkling wine are also worth exploring. They offer different possibilities than the red wines, both when you are pairing with food and when you want to get to know a region. In the selection you will find Franciacorta among others, where the traditional method with a second fermentation in the bottle is part of the appellation's character. Use colour, grape and wine description to narrow down your choice.

On the label you may encounter DOC, DOCG and IGT. These are designations of geographical origin and of the rules the wine must follow, not a shared scale of taste. There is therefore good reason to look at more than the abbreviation alone. Compare region, grapes and vintage, and read about the individual bottle before you choose an Italian wine for dinner or for exploring further.
