Poggio di Sotto was established in 1989 on the southeast side of Montalcino.

Since its foundation, the estate has become famous for the high quality of Sangiovese and has quickly achieved the status of a cult winery.

Located in Castelnuovo dell'Abate with vineyards from 200 to 400 meters above sea level, with steep slopes. Well sheltered and protected by the ancient volcano Amiata. On the other side runs the river Orcia. and together with the sea breeze from the west, the result is a completely unique microclimate. A fantastic climate for growing Sangiovese!
