Collection: Økologiske vine

Organic wine comes in many styles, from red wine with firm tannin to fresh white wine, rosé and sparkling wine. Here you can explore our organic wines from Italy, France and Germany, among others. Start with the taste and wine type you enjoy, and then use the grape, the vintage and the wine description to make your choice.

Organic wine is about both the growing of the grapes and the rules for the work in the cellar. On certified bottles, the EU organic logo and the code of the control body can help you recognise the scheme. Information about certification and origin is therefore good to read alongside the label and the description of the individual wine.

Organic status does not in itself tell you whether the wine is light, full-bodied, fruity or marked by oak. That depends on the grape, the growing site and the vinification, among other things. A Sangiovese from Tuscany and a Chardonnay from Bourgogne can both be organic and still offer widely different experiences. In the selection you will also encounter sparkling Franciacorta, which gives yet another style to choose between.

Organic wine is also not automatically wine without sulphites. The rules permit the use of sulphites within set limits, and terms such as biodynamic wine and natural wine describe other approaches that are not the same as organic certification. If you want to know more about a specific wine, information about its production and labelling is more useful than broad assumptions about the category.

Feel free to choose with the meal in mind, and compare bottles by the freshness and structure you are looking for. If you also want to explore the grapes across growing methods, you can continue to our full selection of Sangiovese or Chardonnay. On the broad grape pages you should still look for the organic labelling on the individual wine. Then you can combine your choice of growing method with the style you would like to taste.
