This Barbaresco has classic nebbiolo finesse with fresh acidity, fine, fine-grained tannins and an elegant, yet persistent structure. The acidity cuts through richness and body, while the tannins need a little protein and fat to lean against, so choose dishes with juicy meat, mushroom and spiced depth rather than very heavy sauces. The floral and spicy notes of roses, violets and red berries play beautifully against braised dishes and earthy flavors like mushrooms and truffle. An aged hard cheese meets both acidity and tannin in a lovely way.

About the wine

Elegant single-vineyard Barbaresco from Lodali with classic Nebbiolo finesse.

Rocche dei 7 Fratelli 2023 is made from 100% Nebbiolo from Lodali's own vineyards in Treiso in Barbaresco.

The wine showcases the elegant and approachable side of Barbaresco with a beautiful balance between fruit, freshness, and structure.

On the nose, one finds red berries, roses, and violets along with fine spicy nuances.

The taste is harmonious and persistent with fresh acidity, fine tannins, and an elegant structure that makes the wine very inviting already, but also allows for further development in the bottle.

The grapes are hand-harvested, after which the wine macerates at a controlled temperature for about 25 days. It is then aged in large 26 hl Slavonian oak barrels and finally for six months in the bottle.

A truly beautiful and classic Barbaresco!

Spicy with a lot of licorice, smoky wood, watermelon and strawberries. Medium-bodied and savory with weight on the palate, offering blood-orange peel, velvety tannins and a refreshing finish. Very well-handled in this vintage. Drink or hold.
