This Rosso di Montalcino is elegant and medium-bodied with moderate, ripe tannins, fresh acidity and fine notes of raspberry, blackcurrant, herbs and cedar. The moderate tannin and fresh acidity mean it can both stand up to rich proteins and at the same time refresh the palate between bites, so you'll get the most enjoyment from it with dishes that have a certain heartiness without becoming too powerful. The spicy and herbal notes play nicely off Tuscan cuisine, while the ripe, red fruit balances charcuterie and light meat. Serve it at 17-18 degrees, so the tannins feel soft and round.
