This pinot noir has a medium body, soft tannins and a balanced acidity that makes it enormously versatile at the table. The soft tannins and the silky structure suit juicy, not overly fatty red meat and braised dishes, where the deep sauce and forest-berry tones meet each other at the same intensity. The acidity and the moderate tannins also make it an excellent companion to ripe cheeses and earthy mushroom dishes, while the subtle hints of pepper play up against lightly spiced charcuterie. Choose preparations with a medium-full body, so that neither wine nor food takes the upper hand.

About the wine

This pinot noir offers a beautiful balance between fruity and spicy aromas and a rich, elegant taste with soft tannins.

The color is deep ruby red. The aroma is filled with notes of wild berries and cherries, while subtle touches of pepper add complexity.
In the mouth, the wine is silky smooth and structured with a full body that makes it ideal for longer aging.

The grapes for this wine are handpicked from a vineyard located near the winery at an altitude of 220-240 meters above sea level, where the soil is compact and dominated by lime and clay.
The vines are grown according to the Guyot system with a modified arch. During vinification, the grapes are de-stemmed and lightly crushed, and the must is fermented in temperature-controlled steel tanks. After fermentation, the wine is aged in small to medium French oak barrels to develop depth and complexity. After bottling, the wine is given additional time to mature in the bottles before release.
