Fresh, juicy, and straightforward – a classic North Piedmont blend with plenty of character and charm.

Melascone is made from a traditional blend from Northern Piedmont, and the grapes come from their youngest vineyards in Masserano, Brusnengo, and Lessona.

This is a wine that showcases the area's lightness and minerality in a more immediate and drinkable style.

The aroma is lively with red berries, violet, dried herbs, and a hint of pepper. The taste is truly juicy and sleek with beautiful acidity, light tannins, and a refreshing, stony finish. A wine that invites the next sip.

The grapevines grow at an altitude of 350 meters on southwest-facing slopes, where the soil consists of porphyric sand of volcanic origin with low pH – a combination that gives the wine its characteristic energy and lightness. Classic guyot is used, and the yield is a bit higher than the estate's top wines, which fits perfectly with the wine's style.

After careful selection in the vineyard, the wine is vinified without temperature control with pump-overs and délastage – a method where the must is drawn off and poured back over the skins for gentle extraction and aeration. The malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously, and the wine is aged for one year in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and the pure expression of the grapes.

Melascone is best enjoyed young and lively, but can easily be stored. An ideal wine for charcuterie, pasta dishes, or simply as a glass in good company.

6 @Ugensvin
Det må da være pinot? Sagde fruen. Nope. Nebbiolo it is. Vild vild vin! Seks stjerner ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
