This Brunello has a rich and juicy tannic structure in beautiful balance with ripe notes of raspberry, cherry and plum along with a hint of roasted coffee. The tannins are best softened by fat and protein, so you get the finest encounter with well-hung beef and game, where the meat's richness rounds off the structure. About the wine
Hand harvested in mid-September.
Natural fermentation in steel tanks. Limited addition of sulfites.
Aged on the lees in Bourgogne barriques for at least 3 years, with a maximum of 10% new wood.
Bottling takes place no earlier than 4 years after harvest, without any filtration.
The color is a nice light ruby red.
The aroma is delicate with notes of ripe raspberries, cherries and plums, with a hint of roasted coffee.
The taste is nicely consistent with a rich and juicy tannic structure in really nice balance. The aftertaste is long and seductive.
A wine that goes well with food with deep and powerful flavors.

The barrique-aged 2019 is still introspective on the nose. With coaxing, hints of pine and balsam wood give way to savoury, singed herbs. Weighty without being compact or overly dense, the palate brings in a meaty, gamey character.

A big, late vintage with lots of big oak ageing. Very sweet and rich with an agricultural undertow. Lots of power! But well balanced, long and not too hot.
