This is a rosé de saignée with real power; it has both Champagne's fresh acidity and fine bubbles and an unexpected tannin structure and depth from the macerated pinot noir skins. That's why it can do far more than the classic bubbles with snacks, and it handles both rich cheeses and flavorful meat. The bubbles and acidity cut through fat and salt, while the red forest berries, cherry and the slight hint of pepper play up to lightly spiced meat and charcuterie. Serve it with food that has body, where it can both cleanse the palate and hold its own with its own fruit and structure.

About the wine

From the best south-facing single field; La Forêt. The result is an intense and characteristic rosé champagne. The very special deep and more intense color is achieved by allowing the grape skins in "Rosé de Saignée" to have a longer maceration (extraction process), where the must is allowed to absorb more color and aroma from the skins.

Beautiful clear ruby red color

The aroma is refined with lots of red forest berries, cherries and a slight hint of pepper.

The taste is lots of fruit and lots of power. A serious wine with nice texture, lovely tannins and exquisite minerality. Nice long and fresh finish.

The champagne is charismatic and delicate.

A Champagne that goes well with food with plenty of flavor.
