Single vineyard Sangiovese from 550 meters altitude.

Chalk-rich soil and long ripening result in a wine with high acidity, impressive precision, and a clearly defined expression - a truly unique interpretation of Montalcino.

100% Sangiovese from a one-hectare vineyard planted in the mid-1990s with approximately 3,700 vines. The vineyard is located at an altitude of 520–550 meters with southwest exposure.

This vineyard holds special significance for the winery. It was originally planted with the intention of producing Brunello but was acquired in 2019 without the necessary rights. The soil originates from the Paleocene period and is rich in chalk with elements of galestro. The structure consists of approximately 60% sand, 21% silt, and 19% clay, and the combination of chalk and altitude results in wines with low pH and high natural acidity.

The grapes were harvested on October 1st and fermented spontaneously with naturally occurring yeast cells. The wine was then aged for 28 months in large botti and subsequently for a minimum of 18 months in the bottle. The process is carried out without fining and filtering, and only minimal amounts of sulfur are added.

The wine has not undergone full malolactic fermentation, which has preserved a pronounced natural acidity and supports the wine's tautness and precision.

Production: 2,444 bottles and 112 magnums. Released in 2026.
