This Barolo has the classic nebbiolo traits: firm, but well-rounded tannin, high freshness, and a medium-bodied, silky-smooth body with aromatic notes of rose petals, mint, and orange peel. The tannins find a good counterpart in rich and protein-heavy dishes like game and long-braised beef, where the juices and fat soften the wine, while the fresh acidity cuts through. The wine's earthy finesse plays beautifully alongside mushrooms and truffle, and it has enough power for mature, firm cheeses without being overwhelmed. Serve it preferably with dishes that have depth and a little umami, so you can enjoy its elegance without drowning out the subtle aromas.

About the wine

Single vineyard Barolo with delightful elegance.

From the first scent, it opens with a beautiful and seductive aroma of rose petals, mint, and candied fruit, merging with fine notes of orange peel.

The taste is silky and medium-bodied with a precise balance between freshness, structure, and depth.

The grapes come from the renowned Bricco Ambrogio vineyard in La Morra, an area known for delivering Barolo with finesse and accessibility. The vineyard benefits from a combination of calcareous clay soil and an optimal microclimate, allowing the Nebbiolo grape to develop its characteristic complexity.

The wine is fermented in cement tanks, preserving the grape's pure fruit and aromatic finesse. Subsequently, it has matured in large oak barrels for two years, which has rounded the tannins and created a harmonious wine with impressive elegance.

Barolo Bricco Ambrogio is a classic example of how beautiful and accessible a Barolo can be in its youth, but it also has the potential to develop beautifully over the next many years. It is ideal to enjoy with truffle dishes, game, or mature cheeses – or simply in good company, where one can be seduced by its subtle depth and silky structure.
