This nebbiolo has fine, fresh acidity and an elegant, aromatic structure with roses, red berries and a hint of spice, without becoming heavy. The moderate, well-defined tannin thrives with fatty and slightly chewy proteins, where the meat's richness rounds off the tannins and highlights the wine's fruit clarity. The fresh acidity simultaneously cuts through the fat and salt in charcuterie and mature cheeses, so the pairing stays lively. Keep the dishes at medium weight, so the wine's finesse isn't drowned out.

About the wine

A highly honest expression of nebbiolo and the area around Treiso in Langhe. The grapes are sourced exclusively from vineyards in Treiso, where nebbiolo often takes on a slightly more open and aromatic style than in Barbaresco, yet still maintains structure and seriousness.

In the glass, the wine stands clear ruby red with slight garnet hues. The aroma is broad and persistent with fine, elegant notes of roses, red berries, and a hint of spice. The taste is harmonious and well-balanced with good structure, fresh acidity, and a lingering finish that clearly reveals the character of nebbiolo without becoming heavy.

It works excellently on its own in the glass for those curious about nebbiolo. Serve it at 14–15 degrees Celsius to allow both the fruit and freshness to shine through clearly.

The vineyards around Treiso are located in the classic Langhe terroir with chalky and clay-rich soils, which provide the wine with both finesse and tension. Here, nebbiolo is allowed to ripen slowly, preserving its aromatic clarity.

The grapes are hand-harvested in small baskets, then gently destemmed and pressed. Fermentation is temperature-controlled with about 10 days of maceration, and the wine is vinified in concrete to preserve the fruit's purity and give a precise structure. Subsequent bottle aging for about three months refines the expression before the wine is released.
