Brunello di Montalcino is the ruby in Mastrojanni's collection.
With a clear and intense ruby red colour, Mastrojannis Brunello di Montalcino looks good in any glass. The nose is full of ripe fruit that mixes with spicy notes. The wine is full-bodied with fine, elegant tannins. There is a nice balance on the acidity and the aftertaste is a long and pleasant finish.
The wine is aged in Allier oak casks for 36 months and at least another six months in bottle in Mastrojanni's cellar before release.
Can be enjoyed alone from large wine glasses.
Complexity, depth and good ability to mature in the bottle. The wine can be really nice to drink now, but can be stored with advantage for many years to come.

This Brunello is full-bodied with fine, elegant tannins and a beautifully balanced acidity, and that makes it a classic companion to rich, fatty meat. The tannins are bound by the fat in game, lamb and beef, while the long, spicy aftertaste matches dishes prepared by robust methods such as roasting and braising. The ripe fruit and the spice also play nicely off the umami in braised dishes and off flavour-intense, aged cheeses, where wine and food meet in the same intensity.
This red is hallmarked by flavors of plum, ripe cherry, wild herbs and iron. As this develops on the palate, the purity of the fruit emerges, along with tobacco and bergamot accents.

Aromas of cranberries, figs, coffee, cloves and topsoil create a sweet, warm nose, while cherries and a citrus twist lift the cranberry note on the palate, before a finish of chocolate and spices.

Fem store stjerner.
Fem store stjerner.
