Riecine Gran Selezione is a single vineyard wine from the beautiful Gittori vineyard at an altitude of 450–500 meters. Here, Sangiovese takes on a pure and refined expression with intensity, freshness, and a clear connection to its terroir.

Vigna Gittori is a wine with impressive depth and precision – intense in color, complex in aroma, and with a taste that balances ripe cherry fruit, dried herbs, and a hint of cedar.

In 2019, Riecine became the owner of the Gittori vineyard after many years of leasing, and the decision to select the best parcels for a Gran Selezione became a reality in a vintage that was perfect in every way. The grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected before being fermented as whole clusters in unglazed concrete tanks. Maceration lasts 25 days, after which the wine is aged for 24 months in older French tonneaux and further matures for six months in the bottle before release.
