Viñátigo Listán Blanco DOP 2025

Classic Tenerife with freshness, energy, and a distinct volcanic character.

The vineyards are scattered across northern Tenerife on slopes and in small ravines created by the latest eruptions from the Teide volcano. Listán blanco is the island's most widespread white grape, which in this landscape gains a unique combination of energy, minerality, and precision.

The aroma opens fresh and lively with notes of fennel, white flowers, and a hint of dried nuts. There is also a green tone and a salty minerality that gives the wine a clear Tenerife expression. The taste is juicy and precise with great tension, a naturally fresh acidity, and a clean mineral finish with a slightly salty character.

The wine pairs excellently with fish and seafood, grilled vegetables, or simply as a glass on the terrace, where the cool freshness and volcanic energy can fully shine.

The grapes come from 400 to 800 meters in altitude in the northwestern part of Tenerife. Vineyards planted on their own roots—many of them old and some of very high age—grow in relatively young volcanic soils with sand and stones, providing good drainage and forcing the roots deep into the subsoil.

The trade winds from the North Atlantic play an important role and help preserve the freshness and tension of the grapes throughout the growing season.

The grapes are harvested by hand in small crates. After harvest, the grapes are cooled to maintain freshness and minimize oxidation. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with the grapes' own yeast cells in steel tanks, after which the wine matures on the fine lees. This adds extra texture and depth, while the pure fruit of the grape, the fresh acidity, and the volcanic terroir are clearly and precisely expressed in the glass.
