Domaine Arnaud Baillot Pommard 2023

From the slopes between Volnay and Beaune, where clay and limestone soils give wines with more power and structure than many others in Burgundy.

The wine is made from Pinot Noir from lieux-dits like Les Lambots and Clos des Vaumuriens-Bas.

In the glass, it appears deep ruby red. The aroma is intense with black cherries, blackcurrants, and spices.

The taste is classic Pommard with firm tannins and a balanced, harmonious texture, followed by a long and persistent finish.

A wine with both edge and finesse, which can be enjoyed now, but will also develop beautifully over the next 10 to 15 years.

Suitable for dishes like duck, veal, or game.

The grapes are hand-harvested and vinified with 100% whole clusters without pigeage and with minimal intervention. The wine is aged for 15 months in barrels, 15% of which are new, and bottled without filtration.
