This full-bodied and mineral Chardonnay has a creamy structure from malolactic fermentation and barrel aging, but is at the same time kept fresh and precise by a clear acidity. It therefore thrives with dishes where butter and cream provide richness, while the wine's freshness cuts through the fattiness and lifts it all. The nutty and chalky notes play up to mature, aged cheeses and lightly caramelized vegetables, and the wine's elegant intensity matches delicate fish and shellfish without overpowering them. Choose preparations with a certain richness, so that the wine's weight and freshness come into balance.

About the wine

Refined and mineral, an elegant balance with depth and freshness.

On the nose, one is met with a delicate aroma of white flowers, citrus, and subtle notes of ripe pear, complemented by a clear and chalky minerality. The taste is full-bodied and harmonious with nuances of yellow fruits, butter, and a discreet freshness that leads to a long and precise aftertaste, marked by the terroir's characteristic minerality.

The grapes come from a small parcel of just 10 ares, where the 16-year-old vines grow on a limestone and clay-rich substrate that contributes to the wine's cool elegance. The vines are cultivated with great care, where plowing, leaf removal, and manual harvesting ensure optimal quality. After pressing, the must is lightly clarified and fermented with natural yeast in 350-liter oak barrels. The malolactic fermentation takes place in winter in cool underground cellars, giving the wine a creamy structure and harmonious acidity.

Serve the wine without hard chilling - about 12 degrees, so that its complexity and freshness are fully expressed.

With an aging potential of up to 5 years, the wine will only become deeper and more complex over time.
