  • Pasta with rich sauce
  • Risotto

Try it with

  • Grilled sea bass
  • Creamy chicken pasta
  • Coq au vin blanc
This grechetto has fresh acidity, a creamy texture and a lingering mineral finish, and these are precisely the three levers you should play on. The acidity cuts through richness and oil, so creamy pasta dishes and poultry in a light sauce find balance, while the minerality and the full-bodied yet elegant frame handle grilled fish and shellfish without dominating. Also try dishes with a little salt and citrus, where the wine's pineapple and apple notes mirror the freshness and the texture ties it all together.

About the wine

Elegant and complex Grechetto from Todi

Fiorfiore is made from 100% Grechetto di Todi from a single vineyard planted in 1990. The vineyard is northeast-facing on calcareous and chalky soil, which gives the grapes a special finesse and minerality. With sustainable cultivation and a low yield of only 1.25 kg of grapes per vine, exceptional quality is ensured in each harvest.

The wine presents itself with a straw-yellow color and golden nuances. The aroma is complex with notes of pineapple, golden apple, yellow flowers, and a hint of sweet spices. The taste is full-bodied and harmonious with a fresh acidity, a creamy texture, and a persistent mineral finish that attests to the wine's elegance and depth.

The grapes are hand-harvested in September and gently vinified with natural yeast. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks and amphorae, where the temperature is carefully controlled. Subsequently, the wine is aged for 12 months in amphorae and large, neutral Slavonian oak barrels with the fine lees, preserving the wine's freshness and complexity. The wine finishes with six months of bottle aging.

Fiorfiore is a wine that matures beautifully.

Best served without too much chilling to highlight its elegant character.
