The vineyards are located at Maiolati Spontini in the heart of the Marche region. Here, they benefit from a unique location with a mix of sunny days and cool nights, allowing the grapes to slowly mature and develop complex flavor profiles. The soil is calcareous clay.
The production is a careful combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern techniques. The grapes are harvested manually and undergo gentle pressing to preserve the fine aromas. Controlled fermentation and aging on lees ensure a wine with both freshness and complexity. Aging in steel tanks, large barrels, and cement for a minimum of 20 months, followed by 6 months in the bottle.
The color is beautiful and bright straw yellow. The aroma is a blend of citrus fruits, with lemon and lime standing out. Deeper in the aroma, white peaches and sweet pears emerge. A subtle note of floral scents mixes in, adding an elegant complexity.
The taste is truly elegant. The fresh acidity, characteristic of the Verdicchio grape, combines beautifully with a mineral depth, creating a harmonious balance. The citrus notes from the aroma are echoed in the taste, accompanied lightly by green apples and a discreet nutty note that adds nuances. The aftertaste is remarkably fine, persistently fresh and elegant.
A truly delicious Verdicchio. One of our favorites!
