This is an elegant and fresh Mencía-based red wine from cooler vineyards, with a floral aroma, ripe but soft tannins and a fine mineral core. It has medium body and a lightly smoked note from the barrel aging, so it can handle heartier dishes without losing its freshness. Stick to dishes with moderate body and a bit of grilled or roasted character, where the soft tannins meet a touch of richness and the fresh acidity lifts it all. The wine's earthy, red fruit plays nicely with mushrooms, herbs and lightly spiced preparations.

An impressive Vino de Villa from Valtuille, from vineyards mainly in Villegas, El Val, El Rapolao, and El Llano, some of the cooler parts of the village in the central area. The wine's expression is floral, open, and elegant with ripeness and great freshness.

This year, the wine is exclusively matured in 500-liter oak barrels. 2,100 bottles produced.
