Collection: Tolaini

Pier Luigi Tolaini immigrated to America as a young man, but he always had the dream of one day returning to Tuscany and creating great wine. And after four years of searching for top Tuscan fields, in 1999 he fell for the properties Montebello and San Giovanni near the prestigious Castelnuovo Berardenga in the Chianti Classico area.

When Pier Luigi first set foot on the amphitheater-shaped vineyard at Montebello, he knew he had found the perfect balance between climate, soil, and exposure.

Like the vineyards surrounding the winery, the Tolaini winery is an expression of both the old and the new. The best grapes are selected in advance in the fields and sorted again on the sorting table; only the best whole grapes are selected and end up in one of a total of 12 open fermentation barrels, of 50 hl, made of French oak. The production is organic.

Nothing is left to chance at this top producer of Chianti Classico.
