This Brunello is full-bodied yet elegant with soft, ripe tannins, balanced acidity and a long, smooth flavor of black cherries, strawberries, tobacco and chocolate. The tannins thrive on rich, hearty protein, which softens the structure, while the balanced acidity cuts through the fat and keeps the palate fresh. You get the best pairings with slow-roasted and braised dishes, where meat, umami and the sauce's depth match the wine's weight and fullness. Choose robust preparations like grilling and braising over delicate, steamed dishes, so wine and food stand as equal partners.

About the wine

Full-bodied and elegant Brunello.

Aromas of black cherries and strawberries with a hint of tobacco and chocolate - just like we know from the 'regular' Brunello, but more elegant and well-balanced in its expression.

The taste is smooth and lingers long on the palate.

The vineyards, Vigna del Castello and Vigna del Veloder, consist of a mix of clay and sand located at an altitude of 290 meters with a west/northwest exposure.

The age of the vineyards is approximately 30 years.

Harvest in mid-September. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 23 degrees for 90 days. The wine is aged in large Slavonian oak barrels of 15-20 hectoliters for 30 months.

Thereafter, the wines are aged for at least 8 months in the bottle before release.

Only 2,500 bottles produced in this vintage.
