Cerbaiona Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2017 1.5L

Fermentation at 26 degrees in upright oak barrels (first used for the 2016 vintage). At Cerbaiona, all the old barrels have been replaced with new ones, and the 2017 must has spent 2 years in 17 hl. and 15 hl barrels, 50% completely new and 50% used once before.

The wine was bottled in April 2020, which is somewhat earlier than usual. Thus, the wine has now been in the bottle for 2 years.

The wine is from young vines, and it is not a wine that has the legendary longevity that Cerbaiona has always been known for.

Matthew Fioretti himself states the optimal drinking window as 2022-2026.
