This Pommard has rich dark fruit, soft tannins and an earthy, mineral structure, and that makes it a classic companion to red meat and game. The soft tannins have just enough grip to cut through richness, while the wine's elegance and spiced aftertaste suit braised and slow-roasted dishes, where the flavour concentrates. As a Burgundy it has a natural earthiness that plays beautifully with mushrooms and dishes with a deep, earthy character. Serve it with medium-bodied to full-bodied dishes, so that neither wine nor food dominates.

About the wine

Rich and elegant Pommard 1er Cru from the Les Charmots vineyard, a distinguished representative of the Pinot Noir grape from the renowned Les Charmots vineyard in Pommard.

The wine presents a deep ruby red color and offers complex aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and cherry. The taste is rich with dark fruit, soft tannins, and subtle spice notes in the finish.

The Les Charmots vineyard is known for its iron-rich, mineral-laden clay soil, which gives the wine its characteristic structure and depth. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo a traditional vinification process, ensuring an authentic and terroir-driven wine experience.

This Pommard 1er Cru should be served at 16-18°C. With its aging potential, it can be enjoyed now or stored in the cellar for further complexity.
