This is a silky-smooth Pinot Noir with moderate, soft tannins, fresh acidity and a charming fruit of sun-ripened red and black berries. Therefore, choose dishes with medium body, where you can meet the fruit with corresponding intensity and let the acidity cut through a little richness without drowning out the wine's finesse. The soft tannins make it one of the most cheese-loving red wines, and slightly earthy tones in the cooking, ideally with mushrooms or truffle, play beautifully alongside the wine's Burgundian terroir.

About the wine

Les Cent Vignes is a Premier Cru classified vineyard in the AOC Beaune. Cent Vignes is located on the lower part of Burgundy's famous golden slope (Cote d'Or), which runs through the Beaune appellation. The field is a full 24 hectares and is known as one of the very best 1er Cru fields in all of Beaune. The field faces southeast and the subsoil is dominated by clay and sand. The Bitouzets own 1.26 hectares of vines here, which were planted in 1987 and 1988.‎

The wine from here has a pronounced aroma of red and black berries. The taste has all the finesse you could wish for. Sun-ripened red berries and fruits.

A very charming Pinot Noir with delicious typical soft tannins. Silky and fine with excellent balance.

Really good balance in price/quality for this wine.
