The Sangiovese grapes originate from the exceptional Istine vineyard, located in Radda in Chianti, near the border of Castellina in Chianti. The 5 hectares are one of the highest vineyards in the area, 480-550 meters above sea level, and were planted in 2002.

The soil is very rocky with limestone types, Alberese and Galestro.
The vineyard is situated on a steep slope surrounded by dense oak forest with a north/northwest exposure.

Fermented for 20 days in concrete tanks at controlled temperature (max. 28°C)
Maceration with skin contact for 45 days in concrete tanks
Aged for 12 months in 20 hl/30 hl Slavonian oak casks and almost 1 year of bottle aging before release.
