Barolo from Nebbiolo has firm tannin, fresh acidity and aromas of dried flowers, tobacco and tar, and it points directly toward fatty, intensely flavored meat. The tannin is softened by richness and protein, so braised and roasted beef and game fall naturally into place, while mushrooms and truffles meet the earthy, slightly dried notes in the wine. About the wine
Single vineyard Barolo from the Sant'Ambrogio vineyard. Fantastic aroma with hints of dried flowers, tobacco, and tar. It is a harmonious and well-structured Barolo.
The wine is aged for 24 months in French and Slavonian oak barrels followed by six months in the bottle before release.

A youthful medium ruby red color, the 2020 Barolo Bricco Ambrogio is savory and spicy with notes of sour cherries, tangy orange peel, burnt orange peel, clove, saline, and menthol. Medium-bodied, it displays an elegant profile on the palate, with ripe tannins, a velvety texture, and an approachable feel, and it retains nice freshness without being austere.

Aromas of ripe red berry, mild spices, dried flowers and nutmeg on the nose. Medium-bodied, sleek and juicy, with a dusty texture to its tannins and a saline undertone. Better after three to four years.

Walter Lodali has renovated his boutique winery and produces precise wines not without complexity. Floral on the nose with hints of rose blossom, redcurrants and tar. On the palate, it is delicately refreshing with dusty but ripe, extracted tannins thanks to submerged cap maceration.

Good bright red. Very sweet and precise aromas and flavours of suave red cherries, spicy herbs, minty tobacco and minerals. A note of blood orange and candied violet add further interest. Finishes long and savoury, with good spicy cut and excellent clarity.
