This Brunello has body, moderate but firm tannins and a lively saltiness, and it calls for hearty food with fat and protein that can take the edge off the tannins and meet the wine's weight. Grilled and slow-braised meat works particularly well, because the fatty protein softens the tannin, while the balanced acidity and the salty touch keep the mouth fresh. Choose robust preparations like grilling and braising, so the food's intensity matches the wine's power. The silky texture and the red fruits also suit lamb and ripe, firm cheeses.

About the wine
A deep ruby red and stronger wine compared to wine from their other vineyards.
Fermentation and maceration for 50 days in large open oak barrels. 24 months aging in large casks followed by 18 months in cement and a minimum aging of 12 months in bottle.
In the nose, it expresses itself as a symphony of aromas that go from the intense scent of red orange and violet to the fresh balsamic note of herbs. These vineyards are characterized by a creamier and silkier taste combined with a fun and vibrant saltiness.
Critic reviews
94Wine Spectator
Showing maturing notes of mushroom and woodsy underbrush, this red also reveals ripe cherry, strawberry, almond, iron and sanguine flavors. Firm enough yet approachable, with fine overall balance and length.

Youthful red/ruby in color, the 2019 Brunello Di Montalcino Amore & Magia offers a fantastic layered and pure nose of dried cranberries, leather, turned earth, orange peel, and clove.
96Wine Enthusiast
Aromas of truffle, oak-driven spice and ripe dark-skinned fruit lead the nose. On the full-bodied, delicious palate, tightly-woven, velvety tannins and fresh acidity accompany raspberry compote, baked plum, vanilla and black licorice.

Vinous
This soothes with its silky textures and cool acidity. Ripe wild berry fruits smooth over the palate, contrasted by a touch of orange toward the close.
