This Brunello is full-bodied and dense, yet at the same time upright and elegant with a fine minerality and fresh Mediterranean herbs. The moderate, ripe tannin and the lively acidity cut beautifully through fat and juicy proteins, so you'll do well to go for grilled and slow-braised dishes, where the tannins are softened by the meat's richness. Blood orange and the herbal aroma also play nicely with rosemary, sage and thyme, while the wine's power matches dishes with robust texture. Serve it slightly warm, so the tannins come across as round and not astringent.

About the wine

A deep ruby red and more robust wine compared to the wine from their other vineyards.

The wine appears both full-bodied and dense, yet upright and elegant, with a beautiful minerality— a result of the white marl soils that characterize the southeastern part of Montalcino.

In the aroma, it opens like a harmonious symphony of balanced scents, where blood orange and fresh Mediterranean herbs stand out clearly.

The taste is juicy, lively, and complex, and the wine tells a story that only becomes more interesting over time as more layers of its personality unfold.

Fermentation and maceration for 20-25 days in large open oak vats. 36 months of aging in large vats followed by 2 months in cement and a minimum of 12 months in bottle.
