Podere Le Ripi Lupi e Sirene Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG 2020

Lupi e Sirene has finesse, depth, and elegance. In our opinion, it is one of the best Riserva Brunello, already enjoying great elegance, complexity, and accessibility.

A bright and delicate ruby red color. The aroma is fine and elegant with earthy and iron-like notes, clearly reflecting the unique soil at Podere Le Ripi.

The single vineyard wine Lupi e Sirene is planted using the old Albarello system, meaning as bushes, similar to many places on Etna, Sicily.

The grapes are harvested in the first week of September and come from a single vineyard close to the winery in Castelnuovo dell'Abate.

There is a lot of granite in the subsoil here. It is planted with a density of 11,111 plants per hectare, which is among the highest seen in conventional wine production.

The wine fermented 20-25 days in large open oak vats, followed by 36 months in large barrels in the cellar, and 14 months in cement, followed by a minimum of 12 months in the bottle before release.
