This Friulano has both a crisp, mouth-watering acidity and a full-bodied, concentrated frame from its time in old barriques, so it can accompany both light and slightly richer dishes. The salty minerality and the aromatic notes of white flowers, nectarine and spices resonate beautifully with shellfish from the sea and dishes with a little fat, where the acidity cuts through and cleanses the palate. Choose fish and shellfish with fresh herbs and citrus, as well as salty and creamy cheeses, where the acidity and the lightly barrique-marked body offer a counterpoint to the richness. The herbal, almost mineral-like character also pairs beautifully with light vegetable dishes and poultry in a mild sauce.

About the wine

Elegant fragrance with a bouquet of white flowers, nectarine and a touch of mint.

The taste shows both fresh minerality and delicious fruit, with a touch of spices and p

scent. The crisp acidity adds a mouth-watering freshness!

The finish has an impressive length that leaves a salty mineral sensation that fades just as slowly.

Remarkable depth, concentration and balance that promise a long and positive development over time.

Ronc Platât presents with this wine a unique biotype of Friulano, known for its perfumed aroma and marked acidity.

The vineyard dates back to the 1940s and 1950s and is one of the oldest in the area.

The terroir is classic 'Ponca' - consisting of schistose marl and stony clay. This unique soil, combined with a north-facing exposure, creates optimal conditions for the Friuli grapes.

Vinification is done by pressing whole bunches of grapes and in old barriques, which emphasizes the wine's complexity and gives the wine its refined character.
