This Friulano has a soft, round texture with spicy notes of ginger and nectarine, carried by a fine mineral freshness and a solid alcohol content of 14 percent. That freshness cuts through richness and salt, so it pairs well with both oily sea fish, shellfish and salty cheeses. The spicy, floral aromas match aromatic vegetable dishes and light meats without overpowering, while the mineral core provides a good counterweight to mushrooms and other earthy flavors.

About the wine

The aroma offers a spicy bouquet where ginger, nectarine, and white flowers blend with mineral notes of wet stones.

The texture is delightfully soft and round. The taste features sweet lime fruits and green melon, beautifully balanced with mineral freshness.

Long-lasting delightful aftertaste.

Beautiful cuvée made from four different micro-parcels, all being very old vineyards 60-80 years old, located between Buttrio and Manzano at the southern border of Colli Orientali.

Tommaso harvests and vinifies these different vineyards together, as a so-called field blend. The vineyards contain different biotypes of friulano, with small amounts of picolit and verduzzo included in the wine.

The yield is incredibly small, with a total harvest of only 800 kg of grapes.

For this cuvée, the best used oak barrels are selected, and no new barrels are used, ensuring that the wine's unique character is preserved.
