Vietti Barolo Castiglione DOCG 2020

Barolo 'Castiglione' is a classic Barolo.

The grapes come from smaller crus scattered in the various municipalities in the Barolo area. The vines are between 10 and 45 years old.

The grapes undergo a long fermentation in steel tanks with continuous pumping and stirring. The wine is then poured into oak barrels for the malolactic fermentation and matures for 30 months in both large barrels and small barriques.

All crus are vinified individually and only mixed immediately before bottling.

Elegant light ruby ​​red color.

The aroma is explosive, opulent, compelling and immediate with hints of plum and ripe cherry and a slight hint of tobacco.

The taste is the classic rich and powerful Barolo taste, with notes of alpine herbs and a leathery finish.

The tannins are already well integrated in this 2020 vintage.

We recommend enjoying the wine in large glasses and paired with food that has plenty of depth and flavor.
