Quinta do Pessegueiro

It is often said that beautiful wine is created in beautiful places and by beautiful people. At the Quinta do Pessegueiro estate, this is entirely true! A truly unique location in the upper part of the Douro River, where noble port wine has been cultivated for centuries - it is breathtakingly beautiful here! The area has also been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for many years, precisely because of the region's exceptional natural beauty and cultural history. It is no coincidence that the vineyards along the Douro River have had their own appellation since 1756.

The current owner has been running the estate since 1991, with a clear goal from the start to create top wines driven by quality in all aspects of winemaking.

Wine production at Quinta do Pessegueiro respects both traditions and today's climate challenges. Sustainability, green energy, and gentle handling of the important grapes are key for the producer. For example, the processes that turn grapes into wine are driven by gravity in the cellar, rather than mechanical pumps. This ensures a gentle process that ultimately delivers the best result for you to enjoy and appreciate. At the same time, the human touch in wine production is very gentle and in line with the very best winemaking traditions in the region.

Respect for nature and traditions is very important to the owner of Quinta do Pessegueiro.

The estate includes 3 vineyards, and the wines grow at altitudes from 85 to 355 meters above sea level. The differences in altitude help ensure complex wines with a perfect balance of power and elegance.

Quinta do Pessegueiro has a broad product range, and at Copenhagen Wine, we have tried to select the very best products for the growing Danish fan base of quality port wine.

Quinta do Pessegueiro has not previously been available on the Danish market, and we hope you will be curious to taste port wine with authenticity, quality, and a beautiful whole.
