Klaus Reimizt has always had the goal of making the best sangiovese.

He has been working with this grape in Chianti Classico since the early 1980s.

Several trips to Burgundy have given him the key to making elegant single grape wines, which he has accomplished by making fantastic sangiovese.

Klaus Reimitz came to Montervertine in 1981. The first vintage of Le Pergole Torte was presented in 1977, and from 1981 he worked for 28 years in the cellar with the master Gulio Gambelli and Sergio Manetti, where together they developed the wine into the great wine it became.

While at Montevertine, he married one of Sergio Manetti's daughters, and has thus lived there for many years.

Since 2010, he has been working on a 1 ha field facing south-east at an altitude of 400 meters in Badia a Passignano in western Chianti Classico to make the ultimate sangiovese for him. Great field on galestro (shale)

The field's name is Boronzky, named after Klaus Reimitz's great-grandmother Tamaro von Bronzky. The canes were planted in 1992.

The first vintage was 2011.

On the 1 ha of beautiful field, only 3,000 liters are now produced per year. year. 2 pieces 1,500 liter casks, where the beautiful Sangiovese rests for approx. 27 months.

The wine is only available in a few places in Europe.
