Collection: Serafini e Vidotto
Francesco Serafini and Antonello Vidotto bought this historic estate in 1986 with the aim of producing classic Bordeaux-inspired wines from the varieties that have been cultivated in the foothills of the Dolomites for centuries. Until World War I, when the vineyards were practically destroyed, the property had been cultivated for over a millennium by monks belonging to the monastery of Nervesa. Located in the hilly Montello and Colli Asolani DOC northwest of Treviso, the property's stony, mineral-rich soils with excellent drainage and proximity to the Piave River and Canale del Bosco allow for an exceptionally long maturation period.
After extensive work in the vineyards and the construction of a sophisticated new winery designed by architect Carlo Palazzolo, the duo has succeeded in producing complex and elegant wines from old vine Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot as well as extraordinary interpretations of Prosecco, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Nero and the rediscovered original variety Recantina.
