This Gevrey-Chambertin is elegant and medium-bodied with juicy red berries, a subtle spicy forest-floor note and fine, restrained tannins. That makes it a classic partner for dishes with an earthy and lightly game-tinged character, where the wine's own forest-floor note meets the food in an equal balance. The soft tannins cut through a little richness without turning austere, while the fresh fruit keeps the dishes lively. Keep the intensity moderate, so the wine's finesse isn't drowned out.

About the wine

Classic Gevrey-Chambertin with elegance and depth that captures the essence of one of Burgundy's most famous appellations.

The wine presents itself with an intense ruby red color and a complex aroma of red cherries, blackcurrants, and a hint of forest floor and spices.

In taste, juicy red berries meet subtle notes of licorice and discreet tannins that provide structure and balance.

The grapes come from vineyards with clay and limestone soil, typical of Gevrey-Chambertin, contributing to the wine's depth and finesse. The vineyards' exposure and terroir ensure optimal ripening, resulting in grapes with concentrated flavor.

After hand-harvesting, the grapes undergo classic vinification with fermentation in steel tanks and subsequent aging in French oak barrels, some of which are new, to add complexity without overpowering the fruit.

Serve at 14-16 degrees to bring out all the nuances.

A wine that can be enjoyed now for its youthful charm but will also develop beautifully over the next 5-8 years.

A Gevrey-Chambertin that balances elegance and power – a true tribute to the character of the appellation.
