This Volnay is a silky-smooth and elegant Pinot Noir with medium body, caressing tannins and a fresh, precise acidity that ties the dishes together without overpowering them. About the wine
With slightly less structure, but at the same time slightly silkier than Taillepieds, this is an excellent example of a sophisticated Volnay from this prime plot.
The nose is not yet fully open, but the palate is brilliant with rich red berries, silky, caressing tannins and a sharp, precise, lingering finish.
