This silky-soft and elegant Pinot Noir has discreet tannins, a perfectly balanced acidity, and an earthy, spicy fruit of small red berries and licorice. About the wine

The Bonnes Mares plot is 1.5 hectares and is located exclusively on the Chambolle-Musigny side on low, clayey and ferruginous soil.

Doimainet bought the plot back in 1953. The old vines are still standing in the field after approx. 100 years.Vinification takes place today with 25% whole bunches, before the wine ages in 80% new casks from Allier and Nivernais with medium roasting to give the wine a restrained and harmonious cask character.

The color is a beautiful ruby ​​red. The first scent that hits are blackcurrant buds and flowers. Spices and aromas from small red berries then appear, along with a touch of licorice.

The sweet taste of rose gives subtlety and style. The wine is silky smooth and with a multitude of nuances. The acidity is perfectly balanced and goes sublimely with the discreet tannins. The aftertaste goes on and on with new layers.

The result is an excellent and unsurpassedly elegant wine.

The 2021 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru is matured in 80% new oak with 15% whole bunches. It has a relatively light nose for this climat... The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, moderate weight, pretty red berry fruit laced with desiccated orange peel and marmalade, gentle and harmonious on the finish. Fine.
