This Arneis has a fresh acidity and a nicely rich, mouth-filling texture with fruit of apricot, lemon and peach along with a hint of fennel and licorice. The acidity cuts finely through richness and oil, so it suits light starters, fish and shellfish, while the rich texture can also keep up with slightly fatter pasta dishes and salty cheese. Choose dishes of the same light to medium-bodied intensity, so the wine's fruit and freshness are not drowned out. The light nutty flavor in the aftertaste also makes a fine match with crisp, salty snacks.

About the wine

One of the best Arneis for its price that we've tasted!

Plenty of fruit in aroma and taste. Apricot, lemon, and a hint of peach. There are also notes of fennel/licorice, which is unique to Piemonte's leading white variety, Arneis.

The texture is nicely rich and fills the mouth well, but a splash of juicy citrus keeps it fresh at the same time.

The aftertaste reveals caramelized apricot, and a light nutty flavor lingers.

More complex than pinot grigio, yet just as easy to drink!

The wine is made from 100% Arneis from vineyards in the municipalities of Pocapaglia and Canale in Roero. The grapes are harvested manually in small boxes to ensure the fruit arrives intact at the cellar. After gentle pressing, the must is fermented in temperature-controlled steel tanks at about 17 °C for about 20 days, preserving the grape's fresh and aromatic character. The wine then ages in steel tanks, finishing with approximately two months of bottle aging before release.
