Delightful classic pinot noir, balancing elegance and finesse with a light structure and fresh nuances.

On the nose, you encounter red berries like cherries and raspberries, combined with subtle notes of violets and a discreet spicy undertone. The taste is fresh and lively with a silky texture, where the red berries are accompanied by a light mineral character and a hint of vanilla from aging. The wine appears both harmonious and easily accessible, with a medium body and a pleasant finish.

The grapes for this wine are hand-harvested and come from vineyards located below the Maranges hill, on the border between Santenay and Chassagne-Montrachet. The soil consists of clay, chalk, and silt, which give the wine its fine structure. During vinification, 30% whole clusters are used, and the yeast is exclusively natural. The must undergoes a gentle maceration with light pigeage, after which the wine is aged for 15-20 months in Burgundy oak barrels, 15-20% of which are new. Part of the cuvée is also matured in steel tanks to preserve freshness.

Best served at 14-15°C. A lovely fresh and balanced wine with plenty of red berries in both aroma and taste, which can be enjoyed well at a young age.

This pinot noir has medium body, moderate tannins, and a fresh, lively acidity that makes it a flexible companion at the table. The silky tannins and red berries pair especially well with lightly fatty meats and mushroom dishes, where earthy tones play together with the wine's discreet spice and minerality. The fresh acidity cuts through richness and makes the wine a classic partner to cheese, since pinot noir, with its low tannin, is one of the most cheese-friendly red wines. Choose dishes of the same light to medium intensity, so wine and food remain equals.
