This Meursault is full-bodied, lightly buttery and oak-influenced, yet held elegantly in place by the acidity of citrus and a cool minerality. That is why it thrives with dishes that have creamy richness and a little heft, without becoming heavy, where the wine's weight meets the food texture for texture, while the acidity freshens things up between mouthfuls. Butter-fried shellfish, creamy sauces and nutty, mature cheeses play up against the wine's vanilla and almond notes, while the oak character suits dishes prepared by pan-frying or oven-baking.

About the wine

"Les Crotots" vineyard has very rich soil. The wines produced here are generous, slightly buttery, and somewhat richer. Expressive and elegant grand Meursault!

The aroma is intense and seductive with notes of ripe lemon, green apples, and a hint of pear. In the background, you'll find subtle hints of toasted almond, butter, and light floral nuances, providing a refined balance to the scent.

The taste is rich and concentrated with a beautiful fullness, accentuated by the wine's mineral freshness. Butter notes and a touch of vanilla from the oak aging harmonize beautifully with the citrus acidity, resulting in a long, elegant aftertaste. The wine shows a fantastic balance between ripe fruit and the terroir's cool minerality.

This wine is created from old vines growing on soil composed of limestone and clay, contributing to its characteristic freshness and complexity.

The grapes are hand-harvested, gently pressed, and the juice is lightly clarified before fermenting with natural yeast. The wine is then aged in 350-liter barrels, undergoing complete malolactic fermentation during the winter months in underground cellars.

Best served in large, beautiful glasses at 12°C to enhance its complexity and elegance.
