This sangiovese has an elegant, medium body with soft, ripe tannins and a core of red and wild fruits, and that makes it a friendly partner for fattier meats and umami-rich dishes, where the richness softens the tannins and lets the fruit shine. The discreet use of oak means you don't need the very heaviest dishes, so stick to classic Tuscan and Danish dinners with moderate fullness. Serve it slightly warm, around 17 to 18 degrees, so the tannins feel soft and round. Salt and umami from aged meat and hard cheese match the wine's structure nicely without drowning out its elegance.

About the wine

A lovely sangiovese wine from fields in Suvereto. The area by the coast can be tough on the delicate Sangiovese grape, and therefore the grapes for this wine come a little further behind the winery. The fields are slightly higher and the Sangiovese retains its elegance.

After harvest, the grapes have matured in French oak barrels. 6 months in 35 hl upright casks followed by 10 months in barriques used 2/3 times

The nose is dominated by wild fruits, and in the mouth there is great structure, red fruits and soft, delicious tannins.

Very delicate Sangiovese wine without too much oak aroma and taste.

This pure sangiovese is fresh and very focused, with lovely fruit, from cherries to peaches. Medium-bodied with well-integrated, fine tannins.
